Kellie Pickler battled depression, leaned on friends for help

Kellie Pickler tells People maggie this week that she secretly battled depression back in the fall of 2007, when her professional life was soaring but her heart and mind were in the dumps. “I just want somebody to love me,” Picker wrote in an e-mail to her producer’s wife during a rough patch which included the breakup of a bad relationship. Antidepressants didn’t help her, but her friends Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood did the trick, she said.
