Travis Barker glad to be alive

By Herald Wire Services
Thursday, October 9, 2008 -

Travis Barker is “thankful to be alive” after the tragic September plane crash he survived that killed four, US Magazine reports. The ex-Blink 182 drummer, who has had lifelong issues with flying for fear of crashing, said since his “biggest fear” became a reality, he’s “just grateful to be here at all” after suffering severe burns. Meanwhile, it was announced yesterday that pals of DJ AM, who survived the crash with Barker in South Carolina, are throwing a party to welcome the celebrity disc jockey home. Mark Ronson, Cut Chemist, Steve Aoki and other AM buds will perform at the event, which will be held next week in Hollywood. All proceeds will go to memorial funds for the crash victims.
