Wild storms swamp state, send Patriots scrambling
The wild summer thunderstorms hovering over the region sparked house fires, flooding, left nearly 5,000 people without power and caused crippling delays during this morning’s commute.
New England Patriot fans that showed up for the first practice of the year at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro were turned away when the team moved the camp indoors because of the soggy weather. The practice is now closed to the public.
