RI panel restores partial pension for ex-Cianci aide

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence Retirement Board voted today to partially reinstate the pension of a top aide to former Mayor Vincent “Buddy” Cianci.

Frank Corrente’s pension was suspended in 2002 after he was convicted as part of a federal probe into corruption at Providence City Hall.
