It’s Thanksgiving, time again for me to thank all the politicians, staffers, tipsters and readers who helped make this year a great one to be covering politics, especially the historic presidential campaign.

I’ve got to start with that skinny kid from Illinois with the funny name. Barack Obama was indeed “The One.” He won with great oratory and a smart campaign that stayed on message, raised millions of dollars and volunteers, and displayed a Houdini-like ability to wiggle out of jams.
