I commend the upholding of this law (“Judge upholds buffer around abort clinics,” Aug. 26).

I became a volunteer patient escort at Planned Parenthood two years ago partly because I believe that regardless of your opinion on abortion, everyone deserves the right to access health centers safely and privately. The increased distance allows protesters to exercise their First Amendment rights while protecting patients and staff.
