Race, progress enter the homestretch
I am not a regular listener, because I suppose I’m not that angry . . . or scared. Yet, in those moments when Jay Severin’s insufferably pretentious schtick echoes through the radio in my kitchen, his rant has always been the same.
If he’s not decrying him as “Osama Obama,” it’s “Barack Nobama,” or “Barack Hussein Nobama.” And though Severin likes to say he’s not one to succumb to cheap hyperbole, he reminds his audience 20 times an hour that the only thing at stake in this age of Hussein Nobama is the very heart and soul of our America.
