Sarkozy says Russia’s action ’unacceptable’

PARIS - French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Wednesday that it was unacceptable for Russia to take unilateral action to recognize the independence of the Georgian territories of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

"Nobody wants a return to the Cold War," Sarkozy said in a speech to ambassadors.
