Police arrest hundreds at London carnival

LONDON - Police say they arrested hundreds of people at the Notting Hill Carnival, one of Britain’s biggest street festivals.

The Metropolitan Police said Tuesday that 330 people were arrested over the two-day event in London for offenses ranging from drunkenness and possession of drugs to assault and disturbing the peace. In addition, 150 people were arrested on their way to the carnival.
