Springfield history museum moves forward

SPRINGFIELD - Trustees overseeing construction of a new Museum of Springfield History have authorized $4.5 million for phase two of the project.

The Republican newspaper of Springfield on Wednesday reported that the second phase includes construction of a two-story addition to the former Verizon building, which was purchased by Springfield Museums two years ago.
