TAYLOR SWIFT

By Lauren Carter
Friday, November 21, 2008 -

The second time around, Swift delivers an album full of wholesome, pleasant country-pop centered around the subject of no big surprise here boys. Its a collection of age-appropriate tales written or co-written by the guitar-wielding 18-year-old with the pillowy sound, and it all feels like something fit for a drive down the coast or a season finale of Laguna Beach. Think Disney meets the heartland, with slightly less edge. The lyrics lean toward being fearless and bold, but musically Swift doesn’t take many risks. Download: “Breathe.”
