Freeway on a new road to success

As America prepares for a historic change of political power, Philadelphia rapper Freeway is experiencing his own transition.

Just a year ago, Freeway was poised to build on his impressive debut album, “Philadelphia Freeway,” with the follow-up “Free At Last,” featuring heavyweights Shawn Carter - better known as Jay-Z - and 50 Cent as both guest artists and executive producers. Despite a warm critical reception, the album was overlooked among a glut of holiday releases, including Jay-Z’s “American Gangster.”
