Farley all right with spoofing left in ‘Carol’

Kevin Farley thought he was doomed when he met writer-director David Zucker to discuss starring in “An American Carol,” Zucker’s update of the Charles Dickens Christmas classic. Zucker’s known as the man behind “The Naked Gun” and “Airplane!”

When Farley sat down for lunch to talk about playing Michael Malone, the film’s Michael Moore-inspired Scrooge who wants to abolish Fourth of July celebrations and is visited by the ghosts of three great Americans, Zucker asked Farley about his political beliefs.
