Movable feasts: Storied eatery L’Espalier opens new chapter at Mandarin Oriental hotel

L’Espalier - the legendary Back Bay restaurant renowned for sophisticated food, Old World service and romantic atmosphere - served its final meal at its Gloucester Street location Saturday night. It reopens later this month at tony new digs adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental Boston hotel.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, L’Espalier’s enduring popularity mirrors the evolution in America’s food consciousness over the last three decades.
